Platinum

Deputy / Principal Level

Usually all the Gold qualifications plus specific and relevant leadership experience, often with NPQH or a PhD.Ed for the most senior posts.
Gold

Most competitive for top-tier schools
A full teaching licence (QTS, State Registered, SACE) or M.Ed, plus 3+ years' full-time, in-classroom, international teaching
experience. The full licence is what sets this band apart.
Silver

Strong fit for many schools
A recognised teaching qualification with 3+ years' full-time, in-classroom,international teaching experience, a PGCE or PGDE is widely regarded as the strongest route; a B.Ed, degree in education or PGCE(i) also qualifies, though some schools require a PGCE or PGDE specifically.
Bronze

Entry into international teaching
Typically TEFL + a bachelor's degree with 1-2 years of full-time, in-classroom, international teaching experience - a strong starting point to build from.
